Industrial Solutions

Less downtime. Fewer surprises. The right people when you need them.

On a plant or site, everything comes back to three problems: gear that breaks down when you least expect it, paperwork and compliance that never ends, and good tradespeople who are near impossible to find. We help with all three, hands-on, on site, no fluff.

Unplanned downtime costs the typical Australian industrial business around $349,000 per hour, and 69% of industrial businesses cop an unplanned outage at least once a month. Despite that, 24% of Australian operations still run their gear until it fails.

Tradespeople are the hardest workers to find in Australia. Jobs and Skills Australia's 2025 Occupation Shortage List shows trades and technical roles have a vacancy fill rate of just 54%, the worst of any category, with fitters and electricians in persistent national shortage.

Where MACH can help

Four ways we keep your site running

Stop breakdowns before they happen

Asset Management & Predictive Maintenance

We build your asset register, set up a proper maintenance program, and fit affordable sensors (IoT) to your critical gear so it tells us when something's starting to go wrong, weeks before it fails. Fewer breakdowns, fewer manual inspections, fewer 2am phone calls.

  • Building or cleaning up your asset register
  • Setting up a practical maintenance program around it
  • Fitting affordable condition-monitoring sensors to critical equipment
Predictive maintenance can reduce equipment downtime by up to 50% and lower maintenance costs by 25–30%.

Example scenario

the pump that didn't stop production

A food processor's critical pump had failed twice in two years, each time stopping the line for the best part of a day. With downtime costing Australian industrial businesses an average of $349K an hour, even a short stoppage hurts. We fitted condition-monitoring sensors for a few thousand dollars. Three months in, the vibration data flagged a failing bearing. The fix was done on a scheduled weekend: a $900 repair instead of a six-figure line stoppage. The sensors also replaced weekly walk-around inspections, freeing up roughly 10 man-hours a week.

Automation, Controls & Retrofit Engineering

Whether it's tuning up your existing control systems or a full retrofit, we handle it end to end: idea, scope, procurement, installation, commissioning, and the support afterwards, including spares and maintenance. One point of contact, no gaps between contractors.

  • Scoping the upgrade or retrofit end to end
  • Managing procurement, installation, and commissioning
  • Ongoing support, spares, and maintenance after handover
In an RBA liaison survey of 105 firms (Jun–Aug 2025), around two-thirds had adopted some form of AI or advanced technology, with firms reporting these investments are expected to be labour-saving and productivity-enhancing over the long term.

Example scenario

the 30-year-old machine that got a new life

A manufacturer's main production machine was mechanically sound but its controls were obsolete: parts unavailable, and only one semi-retired technician knew how it worked. Replacing the machine: $800K+. We retrofitted modern controls for a fraction of that, lifted throughput roughly 15% through better sequencing, and left the operators with a system any local sparky can support. Same machine, decades more life.

Stay compliant without the panic

Annual Compliance Contract

One annual contract that keeps your compliance obligations tracked, your records audit-ready, and your maintenance system (CMMS) up to date all year round. No more scrambling the week before an audit.

  • Tracking your compliance obligations through the year
  • Keeping records audit-ready on an ongoing basis
  • Keeping your maintenance system (CMMS) current
Example scenario

the audit that was a non-event

A site manager used to lose two full weeks a year pulling together records before audits, and still got findings. Under an annual compliance contract, records were kept current month by month. The next audit took one morning, zero findings. The manager’s words: "First audit in ten years I actually slept the night before."

The right trades, without the hiring headache

Technical Manpower

Electricians, mechanical fitters and CMMS specialists, for a day, a project, or the long haul. With trade vacancies only being filled at 54% nationally, hiring is a battle you don’t need. We supply qualified, vetted people and handle the employment side, so you just get the job done.

  • Electricians, mechanical fitters, and CMMS specialists
  • Cover for a day, a project, or an ongoing term
  • Vetting, induction, and the employment side handled for you
Example scenario

the shutdown that finished on time

A plant needed two extra fitters and an electrician for a five-day shutdown. Advertising had produced nothing in six weeks. That's no surprise when barely half of trade vacancies in Australia get filled. We supplied the crew, inducted and ready, on day one. The shutdown finished on schedule, avoiding overrun costs the manager budgeted at $40K a day.
